This is a large desk pad in PU faux leather, the flat, matte, slightly soft kind you see under expensive keyboards. Roll it out and it covers scratches, pen marks, mug rings, and the general archaeology of a desk that's been used for years.

Put your keyboard and mouse on it and there's still room for a notebook, a mug, and your phone. The top wipes clean.

Coffee, water, a dropped pen, a damp cloth or a paper towel handles it. The underside is a softer suede-look material that keeps the pad from sliding around while you type, and you can flip it and use that side if you prefer.

Two honest notes. First: this is PU faux leather, not animal hide.

It looks the part and cleans up easily; it is not a $180 full-grain pad and we're not going to describe it as one. Second: it ships rolled from our overseas warehouse.

The corners will want to lift for a day or two, unroll it face-down for a few hours, or lay a couple of books on the corners overnight, and it settles flat. There may be a faint new-material smell from being bagged; airing it out for a day takes care of it.

How long does shipping actually take?

10-20 days to most US addresses, sometimes a little faster. It ships from our overseas warehouse, which is why a pad this size is $34 and not $60. You'll get tracking as soon as it moves. If you need a desk pad this week, buy one locally, we'd rather tell you that than have you waiting and annoyed.

Is it real leather?

No. It's PU faux leather. Matte leather look, wipes clean, no animal hide.

Will it arrive creased or curled?

It arrives rolled, so the edges lift at first. Unroll it face-down for a few hours or weigh the corners down with books overnight and it flattens. Deep permanent creases aren't normal, if that's what you get, send us a photo.

Can I use a mouse on it directly?

Yes. Optical mice track fine on the smooth surface. If you use a high-DPI gaming mouse and want a cloth feel, you can put your existing mousepad on top, plenty of people do.

How do I clean it?

Damp cloth, or a paper towel for spills. No bleach, no solvents, no soaking it.

What if it shows up damaged or it's the wrong color?

Send one photo to our support email and we'll refund or replace it. You don't need to ship anything back.
